Jurbid FAQs

Is it free to setup an Account with Jurbid?
Yes. Holding true to our motto to make legal services universally accessible, transparent and affordable for all you only pay the lawyer of your choice for the legal services rendered.
Is the Information I post Public?
No.  Only lawyers who can help you with your case will have access to the information you provide.
How Do I Post My Case?
Simplicity is at Jurbid’s core. We have created a simple, intuitive and user-friendly approach on how to post your case. All you need to do is answer a few questions and you are done. Posting a case should take about five minutes.
How Do I know which legal category to select?
Intuition. For instance, if you are going through a divorce, separation or anything family related you select "Family Law". If you're having trouble with your landlord, would like a lawyer to review your lease or are even looking to purchase a residential or commercial property select "Real Estate". We also created tool tips that should help you navigate through our intake process. Simply follow the guidelines if you are unsure. Still have doubts? Just send us a note. You can contact us at support@jurbid.com. We will be more than happy to assist.
What Information should I Share?
Let us guide you. You only have to worry about what information to share in the "Describe Your Case" section. While your information is not public and only seen by the lawyers who can help you, it is also not confidential. We, therefore, recommend that you do not share any information that is sensitive in nature such as your Social Security number, etc.
How do I best Describe My Case?
We recommend that you think of the 5 Ws when describing your case. Answer the following:
- Who did what?
- What Happened?
- Where did it take place?
- When did it take place?
- Why did it happen?

Remember you are not trying to win the case. You are simply providing sufficient amount of information for lawyers to evaluate your case and to submit proposals. Be objective and as concise as possible and remember that lawyers can ask you additional questions once you post your case and before you hire your lawyer.
Does Jurbid verify the lawyers that sign up?
Yes. Rest assured. Jurbid has an extensive review process before admitting a lawyer to the network. All lawyers are screened against past disciplinary sanctions and bad reviews. Additionally, lawyers are periodically screened once they register.
What happens after I post my Case?
Sit tight and let lawyers come to you. You should receive questions on your case or proposals within 48 hours. If you don't get any responses, send us a note at support@jurbid.com.
Can I interact with Lawyers before hiring One?
Yes! Lawyers may ask you questions when responding to your request for proposal. Prior to accepting a proposal, you can directly communicate with any of the lawyers who responded to your request. We recommend that you speak to a number of lawyers when making your decision in order to better identify the best lawyer for you.
How do I know which Lawyer to choose?
Selecting a lawyer can be a daunting task. With Jurbid, you have an army of lawyers at your fingertips. It is your choice to select the lawyer who you think can best represent you. Do research and familiarize yourself with the lawyer’s profile including past work experience and the lawyer’s profile description. Some may have websites where you can get further information. We recognize that price is an important factor but the lawyer’s experience is equally, if not more important.
How do I hire my Lawyer?
By simply accepting your lawyer’s proposal.
When do I pay my Lawyer?
When you accept your lawyer’s proposal. We partnered with Braintree, a division of PayPal for ease of payment and security.
Why do I need to name the “opposing-party"?
Similar to why you have to provide information that identifies you, lawyers may need to know the opposing party to ensure there is no conflict. If you are unsure or there is no opposing party, simply skip the step
What if there is no "opposing party"?
Simply skip to the next step.
Is Jurbid a Law Firm?
No. Jurbid only intermediates the connection between you and the lawyer. We are merely a platform or a marketplace for you to connect with qualified lawyers.
