Is it free to create my Jurbid profile?
Yes. You do not have to pay anything to create an account. We also do not charge any monthly subscription fees. There is only a small transaction fee once a client accepts your case.
How do I best market myself?
Hiring a lawyer goes beyond who is most cost competitive. Highlight your strengths and add any relevant information about yourself including but not limited to past experience. You can also link to your existing website so that prospective clients can do more research on you and the services you provide.
Why do I need to select categories of law?
Prospective client’s Request for Proposals will be routed to lawyers based on the categories of law. As such, you will only receive email notifications to a Request for Proposals based on your own specialty.
How do I get paid?
Jurbid uses Braintree, a division of PayPal, to facilitate payments. All payments are collected once your proposal is accepted. To facilitate the payments, a nominal transaction fee is applied.
Why was my Account Request Denied?
Jurbid has an extensive review process before admitting lawyers to our network. All lawyers must be admitted to a bar and must be in good standing. Furthermore, we reserve the right to deny access based on a number of factors including past grievance records.
Why was my access removed?
We periodically review lawyers’ eligibility to be on the site. We remove access based on a number of factors including bad reviews, failure to comply with our terms and conditions, lawyers change in bar status, etc.
Is Jurbid a Legal Referral Site?
No. Jurbid is a platform for legal services that connects and facilitates the interaction between clients and lawyers. Our approach goes beyond the offerings of pure referral websites.
How do I review Requests and Submit Proposals?
You can view all Request for Proposals upon loggin to Jurbid. Additionally, Jurbid will notify you by email when a request based on your specialty has been posted.
How is the interaction between the client and I managed?
Jurbid aims to facilitate the communication between clients and lawyers. You will have the option to communicate with the client and to upload and share documents. Once the client has accepted your proposal you may also invite them to your office or set up a conference call.
